That's why I put a question mark in parentheses after the statement--maybe
it was an
Alpha 78. From K6RB's description of the Alpha 86 he just obtained, I think
it is true of that unit, as well. In any event, the jacks would be "key in"
and "key out" or something similar.

I have only used the 91, 99 and 87A myself, but I did help NW6P to set up
his older Alpha, years ago.
