[1000mp] re new mark 5 field cw

Ken, 
Sounds like some signal is getting through your IF
filters and kicking the AGC.  

I had a 1000mp on the bench this week that had about
1400 bux worth of Collins filters in it... nicest
receiver I have ever had the pleasure of listening to,
any mode, any bandwidth.  Don't know if the solution
to your problem lies therein; maybe an additional
filter or two would not hurt.  You neglected to
mention what mode you were operating in and if you
were using any audio filtering.
