[1000mp] re new mark 5 field cw

I have noticed while using this rig on cw with the normal filter engaged
that it gets quite a bit of pumping action from nearby strong sigs that
are located above the operating freq.adjusting the width control fully
clockwise eliminates 99 percent of this and engaging either the 500hz or
250hz filters gets rid of it totally.having had the rig only two days
and not totally fully read the manual I am wondering if this is the norm
or is something off in the rig.
