[1000mp] Quadra -opening up 10 meters

My question, respectfully, would be . . do you need the extra power on ten?
If you are running a 1000 and you have a Quadra, I feel safe assuming that
you have an antenna that also gives you serious gain.
If I were in your spot, I would ask if the extra ability to break a pile up
on ten would be worth opening up and modifying that expensive piece of
equipment. Use would make a difference. If I were a die-hard contester,
that would factor in.
For many the answer would be yes. It just wouldn't be for me.
