I checked my Mark V Bill, and it already has a TDA2003
in it. Still has the audio amp hiss.

Hello Anthony, and welcome to the MP world.
There are two sources of recognized hiss in the FT-1000MP.
One is the audio hiss at low volume's in the MP and rigs that use the
popular TDA2002 audio power amp. To fix this, use the improved chip TDA2003.
It is super quiet and is a direct replacement for the TDA2002. Costs about
four bucks.
To improve front end receiver i.f. noise in the MP, put in the Inrad mod,
BUT turn down the front end i.f. gain to compensate .... many don't turn
down the front end i.f. gain to compensate because they incorrectly want the
higher S meter readings.
The so called CW hiss capacitor mod is not needed. The Dsp selection options
gives the same result, and leaves the wider frequency range for other modes
and mixed mode operations.
If the Inrad mod is already in this MP, make sure the Menu 9-1, receive
iF-GAin is set to around 8-10. Any higher in most rigs and the point of the
Inrad mod is negated.
