Menu 5-9 selects the roofing filter when EDSP is controlling SSB
transmit bandwidth. The 6 kHz setting is the factory default and allows
EDSP transmit bandwidths up to 3 kHz - and no greater. The 2.4 kHz
filter is automatically selected for non-EDSP SSB transmit and whenever
the speech processor is enabled, regardless of the menu 5-9 setting.
There is no way to transmit 6 kHz wide SSB with an unmodified, stock MP.
