I'll throw in my endorsement of the INRAD 125Hz 3rd IF filter for those
special applications. I have mine cascaded with the 250 Hz 2nd IF
filter in one of my 'MPs.
I've been very pleased with how helpful it's been in pulling weak
signals out of the noise (or out of a pileup), especially on 160
meters.
Ideally, I'd like to allocate one MP for CW, with 400/400, 250/250, and
250/125, but I can't keep a radio tied up for just CW, and it's
something of a commitment to remove the soldered-in 500Hz
2nd IF filter!
