Not really a new product ... repackaged, perhaps.  In reality a good 
bit of product management ... combine the MK-V and MP into a single 
product line and reduce overall manufacturing/parts/etc. costs.

Not much considering that the MK-V has been selling with a $500 
"coupon" (rebate) for six months or so it seems.

I doubt that it's a product dump.  More like efficiency move (see 
above).  It certainly allows them to concentrate on the next "new" 
product.

TenTec's pre-announced product is certainly interesting.  It may 
be an evolutionary improvement but not a full generation ahead of 
the MK-V by any means.
