[1000mp] Sudden Loss of Display

My MarkV is still "sightless" (no display). See details below.
My MarkV's serial number is 1C220001 and was purchased on April 28, 2001.
Thus, it's still under warranty. :-)
I've tried all 3 power on resets (menu settings, all memories & CPU master
reset) but still no display (just a dark screen).
I'm getting ready to box it up and return it to the dealer for
service/replacement under the warranty. Any add'l suggestions.
