The RF signal in, first passes through the 3 step attenuator, then through 
the band pass filters and then through the RF preamps. The attenuator is a 
passive resistor attenuator providing either 0 dB, 6 dB, 12 dB or the 
combination for 18 dB loss. The 0 dB position on the attenuator switch 
bypasses the attenuator and connects the input  directly to the LP, HP and BP 
filter network preceding the RF preamps. The IPO switch, when in the "ON" 
position bypasses the RF preamps.
