[1000mp] INTERMITTENT RECEIVER FAILURE - FT1000MP

Thanks to Norm (and others) for the input on this.
I should add that I do *not* have an external speaker connected
to the 1000MP, the only connections are to the K1EA board and CW
port (LPT2) on the PC; and to answer Garry NI6T the position of
the EDSP controls didn't make a difference, i.e. moving them
about didn't bring the rig back to life, only a hard on/off at
the power switch.
So..... ? Any other ideas out there?
