The most accurate place on the scale for a Bird meter is at the top 
of the scale and in the middle of the element frequency range, not 
in the scale center.

The rated accuracy is + - 5% of full scale anywhere on the scale 
unless you have the high accuracy models of Bird meters. Those 
meters are rated at +- 5% of actual reading anywhere on the scale.

Unless you have a special meter, you should always use an 
element that places the meter at full scale or as close to full scale 
as possible.
