Mine is January 2001 production, and so far the only problems I've had that
aren't externally caused (e.g., RFI) are the occasional jumpiness of the
clarifier control.  No slow display problem seen here.

I agree about the learning curve.  I graduated from a TS-930 with the same
width INRAD CW filters, but subjectively, the Mark 5 doesn't sound quite as
narrow.  On the other hand, if I use the shift and width controls properly,
the selectivity is MUCH superior.  Just takes experience...
