[1000mp] IF-notch in the MP

I have been using the MP for about two years now. Of all the things i can
think of that can be improved on this rig, I never read a thing about
improving the IF-notch.
The notch-dip does not look very deep and, besides that, it must be at least
1 kHz wide.
Am I the only one with this problem and is there anything I can do to
steepen the skirts of the notchfilter? (btw I�m not complaining about the
dsp notch).
