[1000mp] What is Wrong with SWR Meter?

Dear Pawel, et. al.
A local had a similar problem with an FT1000D and had to send it to
Yaesu for repair. There were some components in the ALC and SWR wiring that
had to be replaced. In his case the minimum SWR was 3:1 so the maximum
output was clamped to ~50 watts by the ALC on a 200 watt final.
I think you should get or make a FES - front end saver - and that will
help not damage components in the future.
the FES was designed by KD9SV. He has a write up in on of the magazines,
and is making them for sale now.

Good luck, 73, George K8GG
