Go back and re-read the original post ... and notice his first comment ...

"Hi,  I have taken to cover off my FT-1000MP, and connected an
second receive antenna to the sub receiver."

So ... sounds like he has split the feedpoint between the receivers ...

There's been a "mod" floating around for several years from a JA site
that uses the BPF-1 from the FT-1000D and some other changes to
do this ... but it is not a "plug and play" ... so not sure many have done
it.
