Maybe the 75S3 would be a good one to use, with its 200 cy cw filter, or
the R4C."

Although lab tests provide a useful measure of CW bandwidth, the proof in
the pudding is what you actually hear in your receiver.
I monitored my FT-1000MP on my Kenwood TS-830S (using the 830's 250/200
Hz CW filters) with the output of the FT-1000MP set to read S9 +20 db on
the 830 (1000 uV). The string of dits sent by the stock MP could be
heard as clicks +/- about 2000 Hz of center frequency on the 830.
After performing the W8JI click mod on the MP, the clicks could be heard
about +/- 300 Hz of center frequency, a very significant improvement.
When you use your 75S3 and/or R-4C receivers in your subjective tests,
use the narrowest CW filters the receiver has.
Please let us all know the results.
