Congratulations to the ARRL! The report includes keying sidebands
instead of only showing nearly useless waveshape. Hopefully if the
ARRL prints the bandwidth in regular reviews, CW users will avoid
buying nasty radios and manufacturers will learn how to build CW
radios.
I see the MKV Field is about -35dB at 1kHz, -50dB at 2kHz, and only -
70dB at 5kHz. That's very disappointing, because it indicates another
generation of key-click producers destined to clutter the CW bands
for many years to come has been released.
Short of getting the factory to correct the keying bandwidth error,
we could get a warning label...
"CAUTION: To avoid violating FCC rules, users should stay over 5kHz
away from weak-signal DX, or 1kHz away from moderately strong signals
in local ragchews."
