[1000mp] MP Clicks

I'm having some difficulty posting, so if this is a duplicate forgive
me.

All stock FT1000MP's and FT1000(D's) click excessively. I'm not
sure about MK V's but certainly some click excessively.

There are several reasons why we might not always hear the
clicks....the S/N ratio might not be high enough, there might be
QRM, we might be using a wide receiver filter. I'm sure there are
even people who think clicks are normal or "necessary".

But they all click much more than necessary because the rise and
fall is much too fast and very poorly shaped. In the FT1000(D) they
band the SSB filter with a square wave, making the clicks "peak"
at the filter poles (about 1-1.5kHz up and down). Both the MP and
the 1000(D) are about 3kHz wide before clicks disappear into the
composite noise of the transmitter.

There is absolutely no need for that much bandwidth on CW.
