[1000mp] filters, audio, etc.

I have the FT1000MP and 500 Hz CW Collins filter for the subreceiver, 500 Hz
Collins filter for the main receiver for 455, 250 Hz for both 455 and 8.215
for the main receiver. I ran out of money, but would still like to have the
2.0K filters for SSB. The DSP is nice, but you can't beat REAL filters in
the IF in a crowded band with strong adjacent signals.

I have both RX outputs plugged directly to both Line In Inputs on the
computer using WriteLog.

I only use the Heil Mike/Headset, but the Desk Mike that Yaesu sells works
well and has a couple of control functions for scanning the receiver
frequency that were neat, but it was always in the way on the operating
desk, so seldom used it.

I am new to the list and considering the purchase of the Mark V and have a
couple of questions:

1. I work both ssb and cw and was wondering what recommendations folks
have for configuring filters for ssb and cw.
2. Has anyone wired the "audio in" directly to the transceiver (I have
done so with my icom rig through the accessory jack).
3. Any experience using studio/xlr mikes (other than Heil products) and
the Mark V?

Any help would be appreciated.
