[1000mp] pesky DIN plugs...

Dear Mike & Group:
The company name is ACOM. Their WEB is:
http://www.hfpower.com They have two amplifiers. The one tube
(manual) amplifier is a one tube Alpha with modern augmentation (and a
manual). ACOM has added computer engineering to an old, and tested,
design to enhance value. One can, and may, find out what is going on
with one's amplifier. ACOM also makes a fully automatic amplifier.
Putting a fair value on the extra time that buying from Alpha has cost
me, I would have been ahead to have purchased the full-auto!
Ask them if they are going to produce a two tube manual amplifier.
This company (ACOM) made the 91beta (which is the same as the 99).
It is possible that there is an anti-competition contract between the
companies and that is why ACOM is not making a two tube manual amp.

A side note. Talking to a chap on the air who has a 91beta, I found
that parts of the 99 manual are exact copies of the 91b manual even
where things are just a bit different on the two amplifiers.

Let us all know what you find. 73 Mac N8TT
