Dear Jeffrey:
    So right.  As I am amazed that Y would not include the most critical
and non-standard plug, so too do I not understand the prime manufacturer
of power amplifiers using a #14 power cord.  Putting aside the
incompatibility of #14 and 20 A fuses, the dynamic nature of the current
supplied to an amplifier suggests the appropriateness of spending an
additional $ to minimize the resistance.
    When the dust settles, I need to write a short "what you need to
know about buying and using an ..... with a FT1000MP."
