[1000mp] noise increase in GEN mode

Pete,

You probably use the tuned pre-amp.
When you turn the dial below 3500, the MP switches from tuned pre-amp to
flat pre-amp.
The flat pre-amp gives more gain at this freq. That�s all there is to
it..... I think.
