I think this thread is PERFECTLY PROPER for the reflector.
What could be a better use for the reflector than pass info that can help
someone make a learned decision on a purchase.
I've had my Quadra 2 months, used it through several contests and for Dxing.
It has performed flawlessly so far.
I'm still learning things about it like how to turn it off. :-)))
A little anomaly is the way the power switch works.
The VL can be used fully automatic with the MP.
Turning the MP on/off also turns on/off the Vl
OR
By selecting manual on the back panel switch;
The front Power switch turns the VL on/off independent of the MP.
This confused me at first as when I tried it I expected the switch to be a
normal push type.
But after repeated attempts I found the front panel switch to be more like a
momentary rocker that has to be pushed to the left and help for a moment to
begin the turnon or shutdown sequence.
Couldn't find anything in the manual about the method of switch use.
