[1000mp] FT1000MP Key Clicks

George, thanks for all your efforts at cleaning up the MP's click problem.  
However, an experience in last night's 160M contest makes me question the 
first dot issue and I suggest it is more important.  I was calling cq 
("running") and noticed occasional pops on my s meter that I attributed to 
static at first, although it didn't quite sound like static.  I tuned off 
frequency and found a W8 station 800hz below me, and his signal put out a 
pronounced click only on the first element of certain characters.  He was 
clearly the source of the occasional popping that was making things 
difficult for me.  I've never noticed "clicking" like this before.  I looked 
him up on the Web after the contest and he is using an FT-1000MP.

BTW, thanks for the QSO last night - you had a fb signal into the east 
coast.
