I have found the transformer on sound card approach usually pays off.=20

Run a PSK waterfall program with the gain turned up, filters opened up =
and see if there are any solid line traces of hum the sound card picks =
up but your ear can not. =20

Also I had to go to transformers when running an amp to get the =
isolation needed.
