[1000mp] FT1000MP Mk5 Field-Computer-CW-Keying

Just received my new FT1000MP field yesterday and have been
playing with the menus all day today .

Tonight,  attempts to key the rig from CT
with either (1) the interface I built for all my kenwoods or
(2) my electronic keyer have been  unsuccessful
even using a three contact phono plug as depicted in the manual.

It makes no difference through the computer or the MorseMachine 
keyer.

I'm sure I will eventually figure it out
as soon as the 20 watt bulb goes on inside the cranium.

Meantime Mebbe somebody can help
the menus and data listed in the manual provide zero assistance.
or else I am looking at the wrong pages !

 I Can key directly from the paddles to the rig but zilch from the 
AEA MorseMachine
Keyer or Computer interface
what am I missing. ?
