Constantine and group members,
The Motorola-designed MRF422 power devices used in the FT-1000/D PA are
still available. Although Motorola exited from the RF power device product
line, M/A-Com has picked up the production.
The MRF422 is in the RF Parts on-line catalogue. http://www.rfparts.com/
I also checked Future Electronics, and they show the MRF422 as "In Stock".
http://www.future-active.com/ search on "MRF422"
Also, the SGS-Thomson SD1729 is a cross, per their Power RF cross-reference.
A Google search on "MRF422 " was the source of this information.
