Need some help

Attempting to go digital with my MP and PC

Purchased a RASCAL with Yaesu Microphone wiring


Plugged it in and successfully can hear through the PC's speakers.  Can 
successfully open WINPSK 2.2
and copy PSK - Even tried MixW2 and copied both PSK, RTTY even SSTV

Now the problem.

Can't trigger the rig and feed data to the MP.

First the Rascal comes with a cable to use serial port, which is in use 
with DX4WIN as my CAT.
The Rascal literature DOES SAY that this is not needed if you want to 
operate VOX. Still does doesn't work.
In fact, removed the rigs connection to the serial and used the Rascal's 
and also failed.

For PSK I'm using the PKT mode on the MP with both the PKT and the LSB 
light being lit.
For RTTY also both RTTY and LSB are lit.
Is this correct?

Can I use the Packet or RTTY terminals on the rear of the rig to feed the 
signal from the PC's soundcard?

Are there Menu settings to allow digital signals to feed through the mike 
connection?

What am doing wrong?
