[1000mp] Are We Getting Off Track (admn note)

Hi All,

It may be the unusual wx (85 degree temp in my office here in NH) but it 
seems that things have wandered a bit off the subject. The review thread 
has spawned some interesting comments but I think it's time to get back 
to the 1000mp thing.
