[1000mp] CW Sidetone Setup

Hello Bert, interesting question you have asked ..... so I went to my
station and did some testing.

On my FT-1000MP the situation is as follows:

1: I feed the constant level audio out jack on the rear to a stereo wireless
transmitter.
2: To my left I put the wireless receiving speaker that is the main receiver
audio out.
3: On my right I put the wireless receiving speaker that is the sub receiver
audio out.
4: To get the cw transmit side tone I must have the MONI button active,
green led lit.
5: It doesn't matter if my Spot, Bk-In or Keyer buttons under the sub
receiver knob are on or not.
6: Of course the Pitch knob does vary the tone frequency while keyed up,
just as it does the receive spot tone.

When I key up, I hear the transmit cw sidetone in BOTH speakers. IE - each
receiver audio output on the rear audio out jack has cw sidetone fed to it.

The sidetone, pitch changes, and spot tone are all heard from the main
speaker in the MP as well.

No, the receive spot tone is NOT heard via the rear constant level audio out
jack from either receiver regardless of other controls I have played with.

Hope this has helped.
