Yes, this is how it is on the Mark 5.  Inrad's instructions for the IF 
board now tell you to solder a couple of short pieces of bare wire into the 
appropriate pads on the board, and then plug the IF board onto them 
instead.  Not difficult.  If you can't get the specific instructions from 
INRAD's web site, tell me and I'll try to dig them up.
