[1000mp] Typical Setting for Menu item 9.1?

I keep discovering interesting things about the used FT-1000MP 
I bought! This transceiver does not yet have the INRAD mod
installed.

The setting of menu item 9-1 is 22. Is this likely to be correct?
The factory set value in my other 'MP was 13. 

This receiver has much more noise when the antenna is 
disconnected, and I noticed soe serious "pumping" with
nearby strong signals.
