The web-site for the SSB LT6S is ssbusa.com.

While I'm here, I may as well comment on this discussion. I have the
FT-1000MPV and the FTV-1000 trnasverter. I also have the LT6S transverter.
And finally, I have the FT-736R, with the Mutec boards.

Any of the TV or computer junk I hear on one of these units I also hear on
any other. I find very little, if any, difference in weak-signal hearing
between the LT6S and the FTV-1000.

I can hear some difference when using the FT-736R simply because it does not
have the selectivity nor the noise fighting capability of the FT-1000MPV.

I like the way the FT-1000 interfaces with TRX Manager and Spectran, but my
big reason for buying the FTV-1000 was 200 watts out. Someone else
mentioned this, but I'll say it again: You will have the cost of the
FTV-1000 (or more) in a transverter and brick that will drive a linear. You
will also have an addition to your "rats-nest" of wiring, and probably an
increase in splatter and IMD, because some of the popular bricks are poorly
designed and built, and many are poorly operated.

I have made many contacts on 6M with the 200 watts out of the FTV-1000. If
I can hear them I can usually work them. If I need more power I can easily
drive my 8877 amp in Class A to the legal limit.

I don't operate on HF much, but I find the system very easy to use regarding
switching back and forth between HF and 6M. Since the antenna port switches
automatically, all it takes is the push of a button.

PS, Bill, AA6TT: I just gave you DN36 a few days ago. I've done that in
two other states you've lived in. Keep moving, I can get the "One-station
WAS' award.
