I live about 125 miles from the Yaesu facility in Cerritos. When I have I had a
problem, I have tackled the dreaded freeway drive to insure safe delivery of my
MP. I find the service competent and reasonably priced; HOWEVER.....6-8 weeks
turnaround time (last October it was an actual 7+ weeks)?? This was on a repair
that was billed for one hour labor, meaning my rig sat on a shelf waiting its
turn in line. ICOM in Seattle, on the other hand has a 7-10 day turnaround; and
that's what they did when I sent my 706MKII up for a minor repair.

The solution for Yaesu is simple: hire additional staff! The wait would
indicate that customer service is not a high priority for Yaesu. Are you
listening Chip?

I have loved every Yaesu I have owned from my 990, MP, MKV and 817. I dread the
day anything goes wrong and have to get in that 6-8 week line!!
