[Yaesu] FTDX-3000 Receive Audio Mutes 20 Meters SSB Only

After a little more investigation, I have found the following:

My 20 SSB register had the Digital Noise Filter (DNF) set to ON.  The DNF
was not set to ON on any other band register.  If I set DNF to OFF, I can
start and stop transmitting all I want and the audio returns every time.
I've tried turning it on and off on other bands and I can cause the same
effect.  Set the 40 SSB register DNF to ON and the audio stays muted when I
stop transmitting.  Set the 40 SSB register DNF to OFF and the audio returns
when I stop transmitting.  

I have tried the same experiment on CW, key to transmit, release the key,
and the audio comes right back regardless of whether DNF is ON or OFF.  So
the problem does not appear to occur on CW.  

At least I have the audio back but the issue is so peculiar that it warrants
a question to Yaesu tech support.  Has something failed?  Is it a software
bug?  An undesirable side effect of the operation of the DNF?  Strange at
the very least.
