[Yaesu] FT2000 and blown preamps

 In reading the eham.net reviews of the FT2000, there were quite a few
reviews talking about the preamps in the FT2000 being blown out.  I am
thinking about getting a FT2000D, as I like the 200 watts and dual receive,
and it should be pretty easy to get set up for remote control-which is what
I am doing with my Kenwood TS2000 now.

I am planning on using both antenna jacks, one for my miniquad and one for
my dipole, but not a separate RX antenna.  Has anyone on the list
identified what makes the preamps vulnerable and how to keep them from
blowing?  Is this a very common problem with the FT2000?  Did Yaesu do a
fix after a certain serial number range, that I should be looking for?
