[Yaesu] Yaesus using RF speech compression

Yes, I see from the manual that the FT847 does have RF compression, which
kind of surprised me.  I guess I thought it was more like the FT100D.
However, the compression level doesn't appear to be adjustable, it is
either on or off.

I can't find from the operating manuals which type of processing the FT891
and FT450 use, though.
