The purpose of a mailing-list is usually to exchange ideas. If this one
is "closed", and does not accept point of views other than "buy and shut
up", then I apologize for the inconenience, and I'll unsubscribe ASAP ;-)

The FTM-100D is a brand new TRX, with built-in RS232. It was quite
obvious for me to have computer-control. I made a mistake.

A more productive answer would be to suggest some specific models
meeting my requirements ;-)
- VHF/UHF FM
- compact size, detachable head
- full computer control

For now, the only solutions I found are :
- using multimode HF/VHF/UHF rigs (expensive and over-sized)
- using professional-grade rigs (also, expensive)

Any other suggestion is welcome.
