[Yaesu] FT897 questions

I have a couple of questions about the FT897 and if it develops some of the
problems that the FT857 does.  They are:

1. Do earlier models of the FT897 have problems with the final bias
setting, causing distorted audio on 6m?  I have witnessed this first hand
in a couple of FT857s.

2. Does the FT897 have display problems where lines appear in the display,
like what occurs on the FT857?

Any information would be appreciated.
