[Yaesu] FVS-1 and FVS-1A prices

   Does anyone else find the market prices for these voice modules to be a bit on the outrageous side lately? I have one in my FT-736 and all it does is announce the frequency in MHz and KHz, no Hz position, mode, etc.... Unless mine is broken, it doesn't do a heck of a lot. Not to mention that if I was visually impared I would have an easier time reading the display and not the fine print found elsewhere around the front of this radio.

   What is driving these prices up so high? The TM-D700 can announce all sorts of stuff and those modules are OOP just like the FVS-1, yet it seems like they fetch only $40 or so. I'm just baffled by the price difference and wanted to hear other people's opinions about this. Does anyone remember what the modules were selling for back in the 90's?
