I am also looking for a reliable repair person to possibly repair my Yeasu
FT 890.  When turned on, the display blinks on and off and the meter goes
from zero to full deflection in sync with the on and off blinking of the
display.  No audio from speaker except for beeps when changing bands.

Need help, It can't be much wrong, well maybe.   Much appreciated for 
any suggestions.  Tried hard reset, but unit does not have a hard reset
switch as shown in manuals.
