[Yaesu] FT-530 antenna connector

The mods.dk article says use a standard BNC connector and I gather with 
a ground lug solder both the ground lug and the center pin to the board.

There are some BNC single hole chassis connectors floating around with a 
bit smaller thread than the US 3/8"-32, that a 3/8"-32 nut just slips 
on. The thread measures 9.08 mm. I bought ten such connectors last month 
on epay and the seller unfortunately shipped mostly 3/8" nuts with them. 
He did find and ship the nuts that fit.

The 3/8"-24 nut is standard on US made 1/4" shaft potentiometers and 
rotary switches and the 9mm probably is standard for metric pots.

is a knurled nut that will fit a smaller space, also 3/8"-32, only 514

has both sizes, but a minimum order of 10 per size on most of them. 
Might ship cheaper than Mouser.

Shipping will cost more than the nuts.

I don't know that the FT-530 requires, it may say in the shop manual, 
and there is a slight chance that Yaesu parts or Burghardt Electronics 
might have one to fit. The shop manual doesn't appear to exist on line.
