Plug in 'n talk!

There is no "dip the plate, and peak the load"...so as long as your
antenna is resonant (which it should be), you pretty much just plug it
in and start talking.
Don't second guess the power chord. It is not a mystery. Most of the 12
volt rigs out there use the same one. Does it look like this?....

If so, don't mess with it, just plug it in and it will be fine. If you
bend up the connectors, then you WILL have problems!!
Not sure what pilot lamp you are talking about.
In this case, I WOULD do some research on it.
In many cases the meter lamps, display lamps etc. require some deal of
disassembly to get to them. Some rigs require removing the front panel,
and possibly a display or front panel PCA.

I have not read enough of the manual to start testing the trans-hitter but hope to soon as I fix the new power cord I bought for it.

When I insert the 6 pin plug, there is no feel ofcontact until the plug is almost all the way in. My thought is to buy a pin extractor andlightly crimp the female plug pins before attempting to pass a lot of current throughit. Am I doing the obvious or is this the way all Yaesu receptacles feel ?
> Secondly, the pilot lamp is out. Looking through the Technical Supplement I found online, there is no identification on it that makes sense. So I am guessing 12V and thinking LED replacement? Has anyone found a best fix on this?
