[Yaesu] FT-857D IF filters

Hi and thanks for reading this post.
I would like to add the optional 500hz IF filter from INRAD to use in AFSK RTTY from my 857D.   The INRAD #705 is sold as a CW filter.
Will the 857D allow me to activate the IF filter even when in SSB for AFSK?   Is this what Menu op#064 does?  The manual is really vague on this.
