Hi Rick:
Before starting to trouble shoot this amplifier, get the owners/service
manual which is available form $3.95 on cd pdf format or get a good reprint
copy for only $19.95 . Just have a look on epay for those. I'm sure that
there's a site where you could download the manual in pdf format for free.
That particular amplifier never had a good reputation as they had a problem
with going into oscillation due to parasitics unless you do some of the mods
as suggested by Rich Measures and others. Rather than mess around with two
unknown tubes, pick up a pair of brand new finals for it.
