$4.00
Just have him cut it in half before shipping.

He may have a few short lengths should you ask.

I am trying to locate a replacement loading shaft for this radio. Anyone
know where I can order a sufficient replacement shaft? Repairing for a
friend. It is busted completely off  due to a solid hit to the knob during
transport (fairly common, I think). Prefer to keep it non-metallic if
possible. Ideas or sources anyone? Thanks...
