[Yaesu] Ft-980 CAT Cable issue

I had the Yaesu FIF-232C interface years ago and decided to hook the 980 
back up using one of  the new USB cables for digital/RTTY and rig control 
for contests.

All of the cables have a 6 pin DIN whereas the ext ctl (14) on the rear 
panel is a 5 pin DIN.  I seem to recall the FIF 232 had a short 5 in to 6 
pin DIN cable to correctly hook up to the interface cable.

I e-mailed two of the vendors about this problem but neither answered.

Is there a solution?
