Yup, I tried whistling, and even a really long vocal tone - kinda like an opera singer :) 50wattsI've got the MIC gain set so the ALC just tops out, (about 65% full scale).I'll try a couple of on air tests comparing a TS-850 and the Yaesu for similar signal strength to another station
