[Yaesu] FT 1000 MP

Can you put a auto keyer such as MFJ grandmaster type keyer on a 1000MP? I see nothing abt it i manual. When I plug my grandmaster contest keyer in it is a constant tone. Has anyone tried this? There is an optional keyer pa that is made for this, but I dont have it.  tnx
